Liverpool were held to a 3-3 draw on Saturday against Everton in the Merseyside Derby. For the neutral, I am sure they enjoyed this game but from a Liverpool perspective, I am a tad disappointed with the result, especially since we led twice in the game.

We have all gone through the Joe Allen miss to make it 3-1 and probably kill the game at that point, but we must forget about that miss and move on.

Two players really stood out for me in this game and it will be difficult to pick a Man of the Match.

Young Jon Flanagan was called in by Brendan Rodgers to start at left back with Enrique being out injured. Flanagan is mainly a right back but seemed very comfortable at left back and played arguably his best ever game in the Liverpool first team. He was solid in defence and did what he had to do when going forward. It will be interesting to see if Rodgers sticks with Flano at left back during Enrique’s 10 week absence.

The second stand out player has to be Simon Mignolet. The Liverpool goalkeeper pulled off a string of brilliant saves to keep us in the game. We all know that Mignolet is a brilliant shot stopper and we saw that on Saturday.

Let us not forget to mention Luis Suarez; here is a player who had traveled across the world with Uruguay prior to this game and must have been fatigued. But he put that all aside and played 90 minutes on Saturday and grabbed a goal. This is one player you know will give you his all every time he puts on the Red shirt.

I know it is tough but we have to pick a Man of the Match, here it goes:

Though, mignolet was really outstanding against everton but am still picking young flanagan as my man of the match cos he played from an unusual wing and he also played under no sort of tension in him.keep it up bro
