Joe Allen has received some pretty rough criticism from Liverpool fans following his miss against Everton on Saturday. Liverpool were leading 2-1 when Allen missed a sitter to make it 3-1. At that point, if Allen had scored, Liverpool may have just killed off the game.
Brendan Rodgers looked back at that moment and said n Liverpoolfc.com, “We’re disappointed as well because we were 2-1 up and should have gone to 3-1 – that would have allowed us to control the game much better.”
Liverpool fans took to Twitter and had a lot to day about that miss:

Seriously BR should eat humble pie by selling Joe Allen for a better midfielder in January. Nothing unique about him

Think blaming Joe Allen's miss today for the result is bordering on pathetic. He missed it, he didn't cause us to concede 3 goals.

Joe Allen is going to have to start delivering soon, he can't get away with the new boy/big club excuse forever

Beside the miss,Joe Allen actually did okay. Some interceptions here and there. But i still need to be convinced that he is good enough.
