Liverpool goalkeepr Simon Mignolet was arguably Liverpool’s best player on the field as the Reds were held to a 3-3 draw against Everton on Saturday.

Some may say that Mignolet should have done better with Everton’s second goal by stopping Lukaku’s freekick and not spilling it but that would be a bit too harsh. If it were not for Mignolet’s amazing saves, we may have been on the receiving end of a bad result.

One thing Mignolet is brilliant at is shot stopping and Brendan Rodgers echoed this after the game by saying, “He was brilliant and that’s why we brought him here – he makes saves,” the boss continued.

“There were a couple of moments on breakaways and he’s a brilliant one-on-one goalkeeper, he’s superb. When he was asked upon today, I thought he was excellent.”
