Martin Kelly has been plagued by injuries during his time at Liverpool and some fans have gotten very frustrated about this with calls to maybe even sell him. Considering he is 23-years old, he needs to start playing regularly which means he has to be fit to do so. He has recently come back from injury this season and featured briefly. But he will not be able to get the game time he requires to be 100% fit again if he can not force his way back into the first team.

For the benefit of his career and for Liverpool to see if he is worth keeping on the books, Kelly should be farmed out on loan where he gets to be a regular starter and then we can see where to go from there. There is no doubt he has the talents to be a fine player but now he has to prove himself.
