This is the worst bit of news I have heard all day, just as I thought my day was going well, I read that Christian Poulsen’s agent has quashed speculation linking the Danish midfielder with a move to FC Copenhagen this summer as we were lead to believe on Wednesday.

His agent, Jorn Bonnesen, told Onside.dk: “No, Christian Poulsen is not on his way to FC Copenhagen and he has not spoken to them.

“Christian Poulsen’s future is at Liverpool.”

With the number of central midfielders in the Liverpool squad now, I can not see how Poulsen is going to be able to get a game as he is right at the bottom of the pecking order in my opinion. He had a disastrous first season at Liverpool last term and many fans have called for him to be sold this summer as he is another bad memory of Roy Hodgson that we must get rid of. Paul Konchesky has left the club now and Poulsen should be hot on his heals following him out.
