Yesterday we were talking about the possibility of Alberto Aquilani returning to Liverpool from his loan spell at Juventus. An overwhelming number of you wanted him back but it is with sadness that I have to let you know that he will not be returning if he has it his way.

Aquilani has found some form for Juventus and this form has been rewarded with a recall to the Italy national team. Aquilani has thanked Juventus and their coach for helping him regain his form. Aquilani has been asked about his time at Juventus and the situation with Liverpool and he has said, “I do not consider Juve as a transition stage. I arrived in hire-purchase, the clubs will have to decide, but I know it will depend also on me. If Juventus will decide to purchase me, I’ll be happy to stay” (Courtesy of the Juventus Official Website)

With the way Aquilani has been playing for Juventus I doubt that they would be willing to let him go especially since they have the option to purchase him. And as Alberto said, he will be happy to stay at Juventus. So for now, I think we can forget about Aquilani returning to Liverpool.
