Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign both Mateo Kovacic and James Milner this summer, according to reports.

The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to a number of European clubs in recent times with Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool linked from the Premier League.

The latter had been monitoring the situation of the attacking midfielder for some-time after his role in the Inter side became questioned last season, and it is expected that a £15m deal will be agreed between both clubs.

The Croatian international is seen as a top transfer target for Anfield boss Rodgers, whilst James Milner is expected to arrive on a free transfer from Man City.

The 29-year old England international has been with the club since 2010, after signing for £26 million from Aston Villa, is said to be keeping his options open.

With Liverpool looking for to replace Steven Gerrard who is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season and many reports claim that a deal is all-but agreed.

  2. Daley says:

Kovacicwould deserve a chance to prove himself. Milner is already proven a bench sitter so I do not know what Rodgers would expect from him. Moreover, he will command a sky high salary.

  3. Gary says:

    Rodgers must be kidding.

Why are we going to tale Milner, should have done 2-3yrs ago maybe, but not now as all we’d be doing is man City favour by getting one of their high salary players off their books.

PLUS, Rodgers isn’t a full shilling.

We are already OVER STACKED with midfielders, so much so, we’re playing one at right back.!

AND we have Lucas who’s as good as any in that position

  4. Masao says:

Rodgers want to kill our team.
