Liverpool have been put on red alert with the news that Dortmund may be looking to offload Henrikh Mkhitaryan this January, according to the Express.
Liverpool were keen to sign the Armenian international in the summer of 2013, but missed out when Dortmund bid £24million for the playmaker.
He shone last season in the Bundesliga, firing 13 goals in 45 games to help Jurgen Klopp’s side finish second to Bayern Munich.
But this season has been an entirely different story, with Dortmund sitting rock bottom of the Bundesliga.
Reports in Germany suggest Klopp has run out of patience with Mkhitaryan, and could look to move him on this winter.
If that proves to be the case, Brendan Rodgers may reignite his interest in a player who was considered a priority signing almost 18 months ago, especially with the Reds having struggled in front of goal so far this term.
I want him to sign another two years ahead
