Liverpool have been boosted by the news that Gareth Bale looks set to miss Real Madrid’s Champions League clash at Anfield on Wednesday evening, according to the Express.

Reports suggest the Welshman will be denied the first opportunity to feature away to English opposition since leaving Tottenham last summer, as he is suffering with muscle problems.

The news will come as a major boost to Liverpool, who have been struggling defensively so far this season, and would hardly have relished dealing with both Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo on either flank.

Bale is also a doubt for the El Classico with Barcelona on October 25, a match that could see former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez make his first appearance for his new club.

BALE OR NOT LIVERPOOL WILL TAKE A REAL HAMMERING.
THE MANAGER FAILED TO REALISE THAT A TOP STRIKER IS REQUIRED IF YOU ARE TO WIN GAMES.
INSTEAD OF BRINGING IN LOADS OF AVERAGE PLAYERS LIKE TOTTENHAM, HE USED HAVE USED THE 100+ MILLIONS TO BUY THREE TOP QUALITY PLAYERS.
FOR EXAMPLE DIEGO COSTA OR FALCAO AND STEVEN CAULKER AS CENTER BACK.
SAKHO IS A REAL LIABILITY JUST LIKE ENRIQUE, TOURE AND JOHNSON.

RODGERS SAVE ALL YOUR MONEY FOR JANUARY AND BUY MARCO REUS AT ALL COST INSTEAD OF BUYING THREE/FOUR PLAYERS AGAIN.
THE IDEAL GERRARD REPLACEMENT + HE CAN SCORE THE GOALS FOR A TEAM WITH THE EQUIVALENCE OF HAVING NO STRIKER.

  3. when there is Bale or not Liverpool need to play hard to win todays match. They must stop their laziness play and play hard today.
