Liverpool have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Benfica’s midfield starlet Anderson Talisca, according to the Daily Star.

The Brazilian has been the driving force behind Benfica’s fine start to the season, and has fired six goals from seven appearances to make him the current top scorer in the Portuguese league.

His form has attracted the attention of a number of England’s top clubs, with some reports suggesting Liverpool have sent scouts to watch him on as many as four occasions.

Talisca only moved to Benfica in July from Brazilian club Bahia for £3million, but is understood to have an £18million buy-out-clause inserted in his contract.
