Brendan Rodgers says Daniel Sturridge has a chance of being fit for the Merseyside derby clash with Everton on September 27.
The striker has missed the last two Liverpool matches with a thigh injury sustained whilst on international duty, and resumed light training this week.
Sturridge looks set to miss tomorrow’s clash with West Ham at Upton Park, but is expected to return to full training next week in a bit to be fit for the Anfield clash with the Toffees.
“Daniel is doing well and is out on the field doing some work,” Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo.
“He should hopefully be back training at some point next week and will have a chance for the derby.”
It seems Brendan knows how to use Daniel , now he has got to make sure that Roy is aware that he is to be treated very carefully . Brendon could use Daniel has an `impact` player vs. Everton ie for the last 30 mins. the same has last season when ripped them apart when he came on . But there is no doubt he will now be very heavily marked by all Premier opposition .
