Liverpool are today being linked with a move for Burnley’s goal scoring machine Danny Ings according to the Mirror.

Ings is currently the second top goal scorer in the Championship with 11 goals this term and he is being eyed as potential cover for the injured Daniel Sturridge. Ings is an England Under-21 international and there is no doubt he is a fine young striker but the step up from the Championship to the Premier League could be a bit too much for him.

Brendan Rodgers needs to try bring in an experienced striker who can help the team straight away and not buy a young starlet in the hope that they shine; at Liverpool we have signed too many squad players and it is time we start investing in players who can impact the starting lineup.

It is also been said that Burnley may try resist selling Ings as he is their star player and they need him for their push to gain promotion back into the Premier League.

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment about the potential of Danny Ings joining Liverpool. There are very mixed reactions which some saying that he is not good enough for the Reds whilst a few so he should be given a chance. Where do you stand on this one?

So Aspas , Borini , Morgan etc what is the point ? Or any in the squad for that matter ? Don’t think saying we lack depth will inspire a lot of confidence . Get a grip BR .
