Aly Cissokho’s has declared that he wishes to stay at Liverpool past his season long loan spell from Valencia. Brendan Rodgers brought Cissokho in as cover for Jose Enrique and the French left back featured during Enrique’s injury absence.
“It’s a great source of pride for me every day to be able to play with players like this and to represent a big club like Liverpool,” Cissokho told Liverpoolfc.com.
“It’s a source of pride for all the coaches I had as a youth player. Of course, I am very happy to be here and I hope to stay here.
“It’s a great city. We have a great training complex here, and we all have a lot placed at our disposal to get the best from each player, and that’s a good thing for me.”
Cissokho has received very mixed reviews from Liverpool fans for his performances with former Liverpool midfielder Jimmy Case suggesting that Cissokho should never play at left wing back for Liverpool again.

BR was thinking that we need a lb to cover for Enrique for the 20 games he will miss due to injury. Ally is still getting used to the pace and the physical style of play, I think we should wait and pass judgement towards the end of February.
A ten players squad without Cissokho is far better than a full squad with him !!
