Liverpool’s search for a new striker seems to be heating up! Now the speculation has gone as far as Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar.

In an exclusive with talkSPORT, the former Liverpool goalkeeper believes that Liverpool had identified to targets to fill the striking problems at the club.

“There are two strikers [Liverpool are interested in],” said Grobbelaar. “I know that [Kenny Dalglish] is looking at a South American striker who is playing in Holland and I know that he’s quite close in getting another striker.

“I’m not going to be the one to actually tell you who, but I’m sure that the striker will be arriving soon.”

So who could this South American striker be that Grobbelaar is referring to

The smart money is on FC Groningen’s Uruguay striker David Texeria. This move would not surprise me due to the Uruguay influence at Anfield already with Suarez and Coates.

If there are any other players you can think of, please do share them with us.
