Whilst Kenny Dalglish has come out and said that he does not expect to make new signing this January transfer window, it has not stopped Liverpool being linked with player transfers for the summer.

One name which has strongly been linked with a move to Liverpool is Real Madrid’s £8million rated midfielder Esteban Granero. The 24-year-old is deemed surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho and this Liverpool are looking at him to come in as cover for Lucas.

Granero’s agent Teofilo Lazaro has said, “He’s finding his chances limited at Real.

“He’s keen for a move away – possibly to Liverpool.

“If he can’t play at Madrid then he’ll play somewhere else. It’s as simple as that.”

If we’d given Raul Meireles the pay rise he says he was promised then he wouldn’t have left and we’d still have a talented midfielder capable of popping up with the odd goal when it’s needed. He was only at Liverpool for one season and made a big impression. Far better than the Three Stooges – Henderson, Adam and Downing.

Good point bleeps but he wasn’t technical we need a silva or a player with pace trickery and vision plus Chelsea won’t be able to resell so it wasn’t a bad deal ganero isn’t what LFC need we need Lucas 2.0

We always take surpluses from Real, like Morientes, Nunez and the lot and ship out good ones including McNamanam, Owen, Dudek, Alonso and Abaloa. Have we not learnt our lesson.

Never mind. As we are well on the way to a 9th place finish this year it doesn’t matter who you talk about. They wouldn’t come! Time we bought a manager.
