Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent but Alex McLeish insists that the player is not for sale and that he has spoke to Kenny Dalglish about the speculation and the Liverpool manager insists that he will not sign Bent.

“I have spoken to Kenny [Dalglish] and he said there was nothing in it,” said McLeish.

“If there is anybody out there that wants him they certainly haven’t contacted me and Darren has said on the record he wants to stay at the club.

“It’s not frustrating, it’s just the transfer window.

“People like to speculate and use social networking sites and they are having a field day.

“Whenever I have asked anyone outside the club I’ve been told flatly ‘No’.”

I think bent is not a liverpool class. There are better strikers than him, someone with more skills. I will request K.D to choose well. YNWA
