For the rest of the month, you can be sure to hear Liverpool being linked with a different striker every day!

The latest name being linked with a move to Liverpool is Jaguares striker Jackson Martinez. The 25-year-old Columbia international has caught the attention of Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea but it is being reported that Liverpool have already held talks with the players representatives about a potential move.

£8.5million would be enough to get the talented striker to Liverpool and in my opinion that is a reasonable enough fee to gamble upon and talented striker who can either make it big time in the Premier League or be average as we know how in the past South American players have struggled when moving to England.

I don’t mind this link! This is much better than what we have been hearing lately. Jackson Martinez is an excellent player.

While Daglish and Comolli are at it, they should also sign Jaguares’ defensive midfilder – Luis Miguel Noriega. A DM is required not just as a cover for Lucas but to allow Stevie G to attack without worries as a second striker! With him in advanced position and Bells on the right, the goal scoring should resume! YNWA

A striker for that price tag doesn’t speak well for his abilities. Get something better.
