Liverpool’s search for a new striker continues and it now looks like we have turned our attention to Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.

Ranger’s Jelavic has been in fine form for the Scotish club since joining them in 2010. Jelavic has scored 33 goals in 46 appearances for Rangers and this has gotten the attention of Dalglish.

With Suarez facing an 8 match ban and Andy Carroll struggling to get to grips with life at Liverpool, the January transfer window could not have come at a better time for Kenny Dalglish as he now has the opportunity to strengthen our forward line.

Jelavic who is a Croatian international has however said he is happy to stay at Rangers but he is flattered with being linked with a move to Liverpool.

‘Every day it appears a new club wants me and that’s a little ridiculous,’ said Jelavic.

‘I know nothing about any offers. I just want to concentrate on Rangers.

‘I have another two-and-a-half years left of my contract but, if the club decides to sell me, because I know that we are in a difficult financial situation, then fine.

‘Of course I am flattered about Liverpool, but I do not know how much truth there is.

‘Therefore, I don’t pay attention because I do not want to create additional pressure. ‘My job is to play. Liverpool is a great name but, like I say, the question is how much are they really interested?’

It is thought that a fee of £15million may be enough to tempt Rangers to sell the 26-year-old striker.

We need a strong support in midfield, lampard can be an excellent short term solution.
Falcao is an excellent stricker.. Carrol is clearly not motivated enough, he shows that on the pitch.. Lets move on.. Its way past time for that..
Torres can do the job without a doubt with steve back supporting the attack..

Please no; last Jan we spent 35mn for a donkey mainly for his Championship glory & this guy is a SPL star.

Cant we look in Latin America, France, Spain, Holland, Germany or Italy?

It’s high time we spent wisely.Atheletico Madrid weren’t in the champions league when they signed Falcao.Chicharito was a good piece of business for Man u.Maybe our scouts don’t know quality players which does not necessarily mean popular players.

I rarely say this, since it’s not my money, but better get no one.

Or if you really want to overpay Croatian striker than get Mandzukic, not good enough but still better, has Kuyt factor too.

liverpool need to overhaul the entire scout team urgently as they are just a bunch of overarated and over acting clowns who know nothing about their job. They’re just good for drinking beer and eat pork belly and behave as very knowledgeble but just shit and getting fat salary by screwing up mr henry’s money. Andy carrol, charlie adam, henderson and downing are the testimony. These so called expert need to know that they’re so fucked up and bringing the beloved club down.

I heard that we’ve signed Bent. I pray we don’t regret it because I don’t believe in him a bit.

I keep saying that this is a poor man’s Fernando Torres. Reminds me Sean Dundee in the early 90’s.

KK should know dat,at least 20m pounds can bring back torres to anfield why not pair him upfront wit suares when he’s back from his match ban,and stop looking for what is not lost.
