As we edge closer to the January transfer window, the transfer speculation is starting to pick up and you can be sure Liverpool are going to be linked with a whole host of players for the January window. Whether Kenny Dalglish will buy anyone, it waits to be seen.

But if Liverpool are going to go shopping in January, one position which we may look at strengthening is the right side of our midfield with a pacey winger. We currently have Stewart Downing playing on the left side of our midfield although he can also operate down the right but we need another player with pace in my opinion.

Jordan Henderson and Dirk Kuyt have been filling in on the right but neither of them has the blistering pace that we could need to unlock the opposition. One player who has that pace and is being linked with a move to Liverpool is Swansea’s Nathan Dyer.

Dyer has done very well so far this season in the Premier League with Swansea and has given some quality full backs a tough time. With Dyer still only being 23-years-old and being English, he would fit perfectly into the clubs recruitment policy of buying the best young British talent out there.

But is Dyer good enough for Liverpool? Is he the kind of player we should be looking at signing if we are to bring in a new wide man?

Would Swansea's Nathan Dyer be a good signing for Liverpool?

    Play Johnson on the right.

We could also play Downing on the right – afterall he was Villa’s player of the year playing there last season. Then Bellamy could play left who of course has the pace! I do agree longer term though we need to bring someone in to play on the wing, hopefully in the next year we will finally see Raheem Sterling start to play more in the first team too.

Nathan Dyer would be better than either Kuyt or Henderson for RW(as both of them aren’t natural wingers)

i dont know the fellor very well, but i saw him in the game against LFC and i like what i saw and he is very young he mind be a long time replacement of Kuyt, i want to see the price tag before any conclutions.

Dyer was quite tricky and pacy against us, but I think it would be a massive step up to play for Liverpool after only a handful of games in the top flight. We need to think bigger and aim to get Hazard. He has been very special in almost every game for Lille this season and ready to explode onto the world stage. Another good buy would be Mario Goetze, 19 from Dortmund, but they would cost a lot of £££! These are the players Utd, City, Barca, Real etc are chasing and we want to be able to challenge for honours with that pack in the long term.

Dyer will be a liverpool’s dream player who will take LFC to the promise land(Champions league). Liverpool should not miss out in this one!!!
