Why are Liverpool linked with a move for another right-back? The latest news coming out of Ghana claim that right-back Samuel Inkoom is set to join Liverpool in the January transfer window from Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
Inkoom told Ghana radio station Top Radio: “My agent is still locked in talks with my club and a scout of Liverpool and a deal could be concluded very soon.
“Nothing has been decided yet on whether I will join Liverpool on loan or move permanently.
“Liverpool is one of the biggest names in football and so if everything goes well and the Lord allows it, everyone will see where I am going and hopefully, it will be Liverpool, which will be a big step for me.”
Liverpool already have Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly and John Flanagan who can play at right-back so why would we need to spend more money on another one? If Inkoom’s claims are true then it could mean that Dalglish and Comolli do not think that Johnson will be able to last a full season for us with all his injury problems and maybe it is time to start playing Kelly as a centre-back and thus the need for another top right-back?

there is no doubt that inkoom is a quality player. But for now kenny should be thinking of how to buy high quality player that will trophies back lfc. Ynwa.

Inkoom looks like a good player but he is not someone who will improve the quality of the team because Liverpool already have Kelly, Johnson and Flanagan. IMO Liverpool should buy players who will improve the quality of first team as they are still not good enough. Liverpool should buy G.Cahill, Tiote, Eriksen, Hoilett,Lavezzi and i think all these won’t be very difficult to get. Cahill and Hoilett are on the last years of their contracts and hence will be bargain buys if Liverpool can get them and they will definitely improve the quality of the Liverpool team.

He only joined Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in January just reading that he has been subjected to racist abuse in Ukraine and has had his house broken into.
Villa,Fulham and Chelsea were looking at him in the summer.

all these are rumours i don’t think kenny will go for him (INKOOM) because there are other players already in that position and the right back is not the area kenny wanted to strengthen coming these january window,pls dear INKOOM pray for clubs to come after you not lfc.
You need competition at that position. Johnson needs to get pushed harder which will make all of them better. Flanno gave up the goal against Sunderland with some spotty defense. Both Johnson and Kelly have been injured and it’s only October. Dalglish definitely needs more cover, competition and more options at that position.
I’m sure Dalglish and Commoli are on top of this guy.
