Luis Suarez believes that Liverpool do not stand a chance of winning the Premier League this season and should rather focus on the cup competitions if we want any silverware this season.
Suarez said: “We have no limit and want to stay in the top four. But winning the Premier League is now very difficult.
“The main reason why it is so difficult is because the two Manchesters and Chelsea are unreachable. But we can win the Cups.”
Granted, it may be very difficult for Liverpool to win the league this season. Coming from the 6th position we finished last season to winning will be seen as one of th greatest achievments in Premier League history. Our aim to get back into the Top 4 should be what we focus on, but if come March next year we are are only a few points of the leaders, or we are leading ourselves, then I do not see why we can not win it.
The fact that we do not have an European football this season could be a blessing in disguise as we can solely focus on the local competition and making a good impact on the league.

I agree with your sentiments but that is such a massive if!! That is why I agree with what Luis Suarez says, he is only echoing the views of the vast majority of LFC fans!! Your own survey on a smaller scale proves this.

As stated before Liverpool are 25/1 in a four horse race that tells everything you want to know about where Liverpool stand currently.With 21 lengths to be made up from the last race with the favourites have this stable improved personnel wise in relation to the other stables,the answer is no.
If we beat Manchester United at Anfield, our moral and confidence will be high and we shall start winning games.
We have winning chance and our players shuold focus on winning mentality only.
Not once does Suarez say Liverpool can not win the title, he says it will be difficult. So I agree with him as of course it will be difficult but as he says “We have no limit”.
If we see how those three clubs play so far, Suarez’s statement might be true and I think so. But the ball is round, everything is possible, and the chance to win for LFC is possible; nothing is impossible!! come on reds!!! Ynwa
If we still have averaged midfielder like Lucas, of course we cannot win the league…
Without Lucas we will be exposed greatly. And he is not average mate. The average players so far have been Henderson < Adam < Downing. They player like they are in a mid table team where you dont need to defend the ball from the front. They lack confidence to use the ball wisely. And put pressure on Lucas and co.
@LIVMAD If you’ve bothered to watch any of the games since halfway through last season, you would have seen that Lucas is our best player. He breaks up attacks with ease and is our most effective outfield player. His performance against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was a masterclass. He wasn’t voted Liverpool Player of the Season for nothing.
It depends on how you look at things, Luis didn’t say we couldn’t just difficult. I like this, with the rest of the league looking at the top 3 we can just get on with getting results without being dragged into the mind game (which Fergie has already started for next weekend game).
Although after Christmas, if we’re there or there abouts the media will be bring us into the discussion anyway.
I’d rather we stay out of the picture until Easter and then when the “big 3” teams have their important CL games midweek we storm towards the top.

Let’s be realistic. If we can’t get 3 points against the likes of Sunderland and other mid-table teams (like so often aren’t able to), making the top four will be as high as we can go. I’d love to mouth off about how this is our year but I have to agree with Suarez. If we make top four this season, we might be able to make a title challenge next season or the one after that.
we’re only six points behind mancs and they come to our patch next..a win would put us three points back and team is still gelling..if we can sort out away form we can keep up there especially if SGerrard stays injury free
