Kenny Dalglish is taking the Carling Cup seriously as he has named a very strong starting lineup to take on Exeter tonight (Wednesday).

Luis Suarez is starting up-front, most likely to give him more game time so he gets sharper after his Copa America run this summer. Many fans had thought that Dalglish would name a slightly weakened time tonight but when you have a look at it, it is a good enough team to start a Premier League game.

I am looking forward to seeing how are backline does with Skrtel and Wilson in the middle and Flano and Robo out wide.

What is pleasing to see is the quality of names on the Liverpool bench. The likes of Downing, Carroll and Kuyt can be called upon if things are not going well tonight.

Liverpool: Reina, Flanagan, Robinson, Wilson, Skrtel, Adam, Meireles, Spearing, Maxi, Henderson, Suarez. Subs: Doni, Enrique, Carroll, Kuyt, Downing, Carragher, Shelvey.
