Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for a new striker to back-up Carroll and Suarez. It seems David Ngog is almost set to move to Bolton so Kenny Dalglish is going to need to bring someone in over the next couple of days.
Two Premier League strikers are being linked with moves to Liverpool: Wolves’ Irish International Kevin Doyle and Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega.
Wolves have said that they are not willing to sell Doyle but I am sure if they are offered a fee in excess of £10million they will consider selling their 27-year-old star striker. Doyle may not be a prolific scorer at Wolves but he has Premier League experience and maybe lining him up against better quality players will bring out the best in him.
As for Rodallega, the Colombian striker is still at loggerheads with Wigan as he is refusing to sign a new deal with them. Wigan do not want to let go of Rodallega but they may be forced to do so if the player wants to leave.
Wigan boss, Roberto Martinez said: “He is a very important part of our plans. If he does well enough, it’s only fair that we do not stand in his way if the chance of a big move comes along.”
So if Liverpool are to sign either of these players, which one would you prefer?

Both of these are not good enough… If we have £4m from Ngog, £9m from Aqualani (although I think we should keep him) or Kuyt and we should go and sign a decent striker…. Shame we didn’t sign Mata instead of that useless plonk Henderson….

Neither. We should go for Silva Neymar instead. Though the chances of him signing for Liverpool are very slim cause we can’t offer the lad Champs League football.
