talkSPORT is reporting today that Inter Milan may be ready to bid for Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt. Milan are set for a major rebuilding phase as they are about to sell Samuel Eto’o to Russian club Anzi for £30million and they see Kuyt as an ideal transfer target.
Kuyt was linked with a move to Inter last summer when Rafa Benitez took over the club but that deal never came through and Kuyt signed a new contract at Liverpool until 2014.

Now there are suggestions that Inter may want to come back and bid for Kuyt who some say is not needed at Liverpool.

Kuyt’s representative Rob Jansen admits the 31-year-old needs to think about the offer from Inter.

“Inter Milan have made an attractive offer for Dirk and he has to think about it,” Jansen told RTV West. “However, the two clubs have yet to agree a deal.”

In my opinion, it would be a bad idea for Liverpool to consider selling Kuyt to Inter. Dirk not only is a work horse but he is able to play wide on the right or as a striker. I know there are some fans who feel Dirk only has a high work-rate and his skills levels are low, thus we should sell him.

This is going to open up a big debate among the fans: Should Liverpool sell Kuyt if a decent offer comes in for him?

    Those “some” being complete idiots.

He has played well for us and is a very dedicated player. “If he wants to go” I hope we have an eye on a very good replacement! Very Good!!!!!!! And, only if we have a very, very, very good replacement available to us and not just somebody to fill the space until later!

He is certainly a valuable squad player to us but it all just depends on what Inter are willing to pay.

Not only will we lose our industrious right winger but also our third choice striker (plus ace penalty taker). We’re struggling to find a forth choice forward as it is. But Kuyt is 31 now and not likely to get fitter and faster.

If it is a decent enough sum, allowing us to go and replace with BETTER quality, then we should definitely consider it. Perhaps Hazard (more FSG money required) or Adam Johnson (if City willing to sell to LFC)?

sell sell sell. Dirk Kuyt is useless! anyone can run a round like a headless chicken for 90 minutes. Buy someone who can take people on, dribble, cross and can control a ball!!

Rubbish rubbish rubbish……he wont be allowed to leave. Kenny just praised him……again…..Greedy agents…….. again.

I reckon Dirk Kuyt has divided opinion amongst the LFC faithful from the moment he arrived at the club. I for one sit very much in the camp of ‘Keep Kuyt’ but I can understand the arguments against keeping him, especially if Inter are willing to pay a good price for him. From the moment Dirk entered the field against West Ham at home as a sub and IMMEDIATELY got stuck in showing off his all action attributes, I turned to my bro who was sitting with me at the game and said “this bloke is gonna be good for us!” However, it wasn’t long before our £10M signing (which reportedly David Moores had bought from his own pocket??) showed that his true assets being his guile and tenacity not necessarily his technical abilities. As we all know, LFC fans can be hard to please at times and I think Dirk unfairly suffered as a result of not being cuter on the ball. When his father unfortunately passed away and his form as a result (and understandably so) dipped, you could here the knives being sharpened and an the non Dirk fans becoming increasingly vocal. However, as we all know, Dirk is not just a workhorse who give 100% to the cause but also a BIG GAME PLAYER. You cannot replace that and if we are to mount a serious challenge over the next couple of seasons, we need all the attributes that Dirk Kuyt possesses to get us to the promised land!

    yeah Rolando and youre CLUELESS……bwahahaha

  8. rolando says:

Sorry but Kuyt is slow, has a poor touch and constantly goes backwards with his play. If we are to move forward this year he must either be benched or sold for a more forward thinking, quicker right winger. someone who can take people on and provide pin point crosses for Carroll as lets be fair its the only way that Money pit will score!

Terribly bad idea, we keep want to sell and not utelize proven players like mereles, aquilani, and kuyt while pay insane money for henderson where he needs yrs to mature and be productive!! Sometime I wonder about kenny’s thought process… Team played poorly against gunners till mereles and suarez came in, carrol is another overpayed player w minimal production… FC

  11. rolando says:

good point adelani!… because I’d much rather have Kuyt than Ronaldo!

    Idi0t!

i am a big fan of Kuyt,he has got tenacity, work rate,n dedication..bt to be fair he aint gettin any younger,@ 31 we should expect less productivity from him so if inter is ready 2 ice his fees then i think he should be allowed to go n kk should get a quality right winger and not jst anoda money bag like caroll and hendo all in the name of british talent….£55 million down the drain on both players and yet nufin to show for it,when we could have gotten better assets for three quater that price, what a big waste
