Christian Poulsen is set to leave Liverpool according to his agent as the club are not prepared to commit to his demands to play more games for the first team. Which makes sense to me as I can not see Poulsen starting for Liverpool this season with the number of quality midfielders we have.

The 31-year-old Danish midfielder has been the subject of much speculation this summer regarding a move away from the club but he insisted that he wanted to stay and fight for his place in the side. But now he has been told he will not make it.

“I’ve talked with Liverpool now. They have said that they are not confident that they can meet Christian’s desire for playing time, and they understand that we are trying to find a new club for Christian,” Poulsen’s agent Jorn Bonnesen told bold.dk.

“We look about us and explore the options.

“There are clubs interested, but I can not tell more about the possibilities. ”
