Alberto Aquilani continues to let his football do the talking whilst his agent does all the talking off the field. Aquilani grabbed the winner for Italy last night (Wednesday) against Spain. Although Aquilani’s 86th minute striker was courtesy of a deflection, it will go down as an Aquilani goal.

The Italian midfielder did no harm in pressing his claim for a starting berth for Liverpool come Saturday against Sunderland if he is still a Liverpool player come then. Teams in Italy may have just been impressed with what they saw of Aquilani last night that they may decide to make an offer to Liverpool to sign him.

If Aquilani is up to the job then the whole world will kno it by his performances in the Premier League for LFC & if he isnt up to the job then the whole world will kno it by the squawking of his fancy boy fans trying to tell us al that he’s really actually better than his average performances have proven .
We have a very strong midfield to choose from & he is easily accommodated within a squad like that but he has it all to prove especially with the dominant & commanding club captain Gerrard not too far from a return .
Gerrard is the most effective attacking midfielder in the premier League this past 8 seasons , if we move him outa position to accommodate a lesser player then its a rip off on the fans & it will genuinely jeopardize our chances of challenging for the title .
We have to build our midfield around Gerrard , Suarez , Gerrard , Adam & Downing should be putting on breath taking displays of attacking football next season , Aquilani is a way down the pecking order in terms of football brains in my book compared to those other 4 with Young Henderson looking like he has been touched with attacking genius too .
Its a valuable squad role for Aquafresh until such time he can keep a fully fit Gerrard out of the Attacking midfield role with his performances , not press manipulated hype .
