The future of Alberto Aquilani has taken another twist. After his failed moved to Fiorentina, it seems like Aquilani could still yet get his move back to Italy, this time to AC Milan.

The Italian club have not ruled out on making a move for the midfielder. AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, says they are keeping an eye on the situation at Anfield. He spoke about Aquilani by saying, “Currently we are not looking for him, but we could speak of it.”

“He’s a midfielder with the characteristics that we are looking for so, like with other players in his role, he could be of interest.”

With Gerrard having another injury setback, I feel Liverpool should be trying to hold onto Aquilani at this moment in time as he gives us another option in central midfield. The fact that he still has not been issued with a squad number for this coming seasons is a string hint that Liverpool are looking to offload him.

Personally I think its gotta be Adam with Lucas in CM .
Tactically Lucas is one of the most solid players in our squad & he will offer stability when Gerrard is out with Adam well able to create & dictate the attacking tempo of our side both expertly & consistently .
Aquilani remains behind Meireles in the pecking order in my book but I dont work with them everyday like Kenny does .
