With Liverpool continually being linked with a whole host of left-backs this summer, it has emerged that the club have not made a bid for Lyon’s left-back Aly Cissokho. There had been a lot of speculation that Liverpool had targeted Cissokho to come in and fill in the role at the club with some saying that we had already made a bid for the player and he was days away from signing for us.

But Lyon have confirmed today (Friday) that Liverpool have not made a bid for the player.

Bernard Lacombe, who is officially the special advisor to Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas, and is one of the power brokers behind the scenes at Lyon, says no offer has been made.

“If Liverpool is attracted in Cissokho, they have to come to us,” he told L’Equipe.

Do you think Liverpool should make a bid for Cissokho or should we look elsewhere for a left-back?

We should wait and see what the people who have the say actually do. A little patience please.

Of course they haven’t. Sick of all the crap. Clubs agree fee. Players agree personal terms. Its all crap. But if this rumor happens to be true ill be happy. Oh and by the way, dont worry about Mata, give Pacheco a chance to run rings around defenders with Suarez. Go you mighty Reds.
