As Charlie Adam is set to complete his move from Blackpool to Liverpool today (Thursday) after the two clubs agreed on a deal, there had been suggestions in the build up to this deal that Liverpool would offer Blackpool some players on loan or on a permanent basis, namely Stephen Darby, Jonjo Shelvey or Danny Wilson, in order to get Adam but that is not the case according to the Blackpool Gazette.

However, there could still be separate deals involving some of Liverpool’s youngsters going to Blackpool this summer.

How much Liverpool have paid for Adam still needs to be seen with some suggestions that we have paid them £7million. At the end of the day Dalglish has gotten his man and it is going to be very interesting to see how Kenny uses all the central midfielders he now has in the squad. Some players are going to leave I think following the arrival of Adam.
For someone like Jonjo Shelvey who has a great future ahead of him and to a certain extent maybe Jay Spearing, it would be nice for these younger players to go out on loan this season and get some regular first team football as opportunities in central midfield are going to be few and far between for them at Liverpool this season without the added games in the Europa League.

Whereas, Stephen Darby is also going to find it hard to break into the first time as a right-back following the progression of Flanagan and Kelly, coupled with the fact that Glen Johnson, who is more than likely going to be the first choice right-back, has just signed a new deal which keeps him at Liverpool for a longer time. Selling Darby may be the best option now for both the club and the player.

Danny Wilson is another great young talent who can play as a center back or at left-back. We need to keep him on our books as I see a central defence pairing of Kelly and Wilson as the future of the club. A loan spell, possibly back to Rangers, would be great for Wilson.

As a Wolves fan, I think that Liverpool have progressed immensely since that 1-0 against us, and it shows that Kenny is truly, the King.
Adam is an amazing player, and I’m sure he’ll fit with yor style of play, but as I’ve heard, you might get rid of Meireles?
    I think he’s immense too.
Anyway, I truly rate Shelvey and Wilson, and I think that getting rid of them would not be a smart move, and maybe we could use them on loan!

Darby is a good right back and didn’t play last year because he was out on loan. I don’t want him to be sold and should be ahead of Flano and Robinson. Kelly should be moved into one of the center back positions. When injuries hit, as they do each season, then we will be glad that they are all with the team.
