Sochaux attacking midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has admitted that Liverpool are interested in signing him. Boudabouz had a great season with the French club and helped them secure a fifth place finish in Ligue 1, and qualifying for next seasons Europa League.

Boudebouz is a former French youth international but now plays for the Algerian national team. He is under contract with Sochaux until 2013, but has hinted we could be off to Anfield in the summer.

Speaking to L’Est Republicain, Boudebouz said: “The Liverpool interest is solid. There has been contact but we have to take our time, meet the chairman and remain calm.

“I want to sit down and discuses things when we return for pre-season training.

“If there is an important offer, we will not be able to turn it down. I don’t wish to leave Sochaux, but if there is an offer on the table, I will think about it.”

It is thought that Liverpool would have to pay £14,5million for the playmaker but he ties into FSG’s policy of buying young talent as he is only 21 years old.

Not many Liverpool fans may have heard of Boudebouz before this transfer speculation but you can view the video below courtesy of BILALORIGINAL1 to see what Ryad is all about. What do you make of him?
