Yesterday (Monday) Sky Bet had suspended betting on Charlie Adam joining Liverpool as speculation mounted that Adam was going to be a Liverpool player this week. No official deal has been tabled yet but Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has said that Liverpool have approached them over Charlie Adam.

Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette, “We’ve had a few very preliminary discussions and enquiries (with Liverpool) but nothing of any substance so there really is nothing to report at this stage about interest from anyone.”

The fact that Liverpool have approached Blackpool means that we are interested in Adam and if the two clubs can agree on a fee then Adam could be headed to Liverpool this summer. Adam himself has not come out and said anything about where he will be this summer, it looks like he is more focused on his golf as he has recently tweeted, “looking for some new golf clubs any of pros on here recommend what taylormade ones to get thanks

Liverpool tried very hard to sign Adam during the January transfer window but nothing much came out of that as Blackpool rejected our offer. Now Blackpool are going to have to sell Adam since they got relegated. Some whispers are going around that if Liverpool sign Adam then we will sell Raul Meireles possibly to Inter Milan as the two are very similar players…

Do not pay blackpool any money for adam. wait another 6 months get him on a bosman, in addition pay him a big fat signing on bonus and use the money left over to secure Wickham and Dann.

You’re a little behind pumpkin…..Blackpool initiated Adam’s automatic contract renewal thus preventing him leaving on a bosman in the near term.

In addition, we need quality not more numbers so Wickham can hang on bit. Dann is just crap and we shouldn’t even go there.
