The transfer rumour mill is in full drive already! Over the last few days the speculation surrounding the future of Benfica left-back, Fabio Coentrao has been heating up. Firstly, it was suggested that Coentrao had already signed for Real Madrid. But now reports are saying that Benfica have agreed a deal with Liverpool thought to be worth £25million for the left-back. Now who do we believe?
I actually do not think Coentrao has agreed a deal with either Real Madrid or Liverpool yet. There is no doubt that if Liverpool do indeed sign Coentrao ahead of Real Madrid it would be a massive signing. Liverpool are trying to make sure that any transfer deals that are in the pipeline are kept under the radar and we will only know about them once they are sealed. So you can be sure there will be one or two surprises coming out of Anfield this summer. If indeed one of them is the signing of Coentrao then what a great start to the summer spending.
I think this transfer mystery surrounding Coentrao has the guys at bwin football going crazy as if they were to put odds up on where Coentrao will be playing next season they could make a bit of money from the bets! My money would be on him joining Liverpool!

Could it be possible we could sign both ?? Coentrao on the wing and Enrique tucked in behind him…. Both have good engines, close control and an ability to put a quality ball into the box….
