Many Liverpool fans have been wondering about the future of Maxi. It seemed that the Argentine was on his way out of Liverpool until Kenny Dalglish recalled him into the starting lineup recently and he has impressed by bagging a brace of hat tricks. On Maxi’s current form, there was no way that he could be sold but people do not forget the earlier parts of the season where Maxi could hardly do anything right when he was on the field.

Following yesterdays (Sunday) game against Aston Villa, Maxi was not fit enough to play in the game as he was suffering from an adductor injury. Kenny Dalglish came out after the game to explain why Maxi was missing and this hinted that Kenny believes that Maxi will be part of the setup next season.

Dalglish said, “Maxi had a problem with his adductor, so it’s better to miss this game than pre-season training. I don’t think any of them will need surgery.”

So Kenny feels that it would have been best to exclude Maxi from the match at Villa Park where he could have made his injury worse, as he would rather have him fit for pre-season training. If Kenny feels that Maxi has to be fit for pre-season training then I take that as a sign that he wants Maxi to stay.

Or that no one will buy him if he has got a bad injury!!! That doesnt mean he is staying at all!!

he’s a good squad player with alot of experience at the top level, he should be given another season at the very least, what a different player hes looked since Kenny took charge, as has Lucas, Meireles well all of the team well done guys……YNWA

Like Meireles, it just shows you what a player can achieve when they are played to their strengths.

7 goals in 3 games in the prem is incredible by anyone’s standards. I’m looking forward to seeing Maxi in a red shirt next season.

I’m in agreement with Steve Clarke; 3 key (world class)signings – 2 defenders and one attacker. The lack of European games and number of youngsters coming through is working in our favour.

  4. Because Kenny is a gentleman, he wont risk the health of any player, even if they were to leave. Legend

Dalglish said much the same about Babel and then before you knew it he was gone. Hopefully the same will happen with Maxi and he has played his last game for Liverpool also

  6. Declan says:

Duuuuugghhhhh… If we want to sell him then he needs to be injury free.

Keep Maxi we will see more next season. He is a hidden Diamond and he will surely strike like he did. Viva Liverpool.
