Kenny Dalglish is looking to make QPR’s Moroccan international Adel Taarabt his first summer signing, and the Metro has reported that the Scot will use Joe Cole as ‘bait’ in order to get his man.

The former Spurs youngster has been instrumental in helping QPR regain promotion back to the Premier League with 19 goals and 16 assists. The Championship player of the year has also been rumoured to have caught the eye of Chelsea and Arsenal.

Joe Cole and his family have failed to settle on Merseyside since moving away from the capital after the Englishman’s free transfer from Chelsea and are eager for a return to London. One stumbling block could be Cole’s current reported wage of £90,000 a week, however Liverpool’s owners are keen to ‘splash the cash’ and could offer the former West Ham man a lump sum payoff to facilitate his move to QPR.

He could be a great acquisition if he is as good as the youtube videos suggest. Regardless, he is worth a try if the price is right. 19 goals and 16 assists is amazing statistics not to be ignored.

Id welcome him to Anfield aslong as we don’t pay a high price for him, even tho i think hes a good player and has the potential to be even better, but it makes me think why did Spurs let him go if he was meant for great things. I don’t beleive it was because they had a big squad because if you have a telented player like him you don’t just let him leave even if you can’t fit him in the squad yet, let him go on loan then give him a go in the future. ANyway Spurs loss maybe our gain if we do sign him……YNWA

Bring him – we do need some cover and he will play like no tomoro

I think he will prefer..Arsenal, Chelsea or ManU. What Liverpool offer to him? Champion League or Europa? Do you think he want to go Liverpool & sit on the bench? He will wait till he got a good reputation & the value increase then he leave for the big club. Nop, Liverpool surely not his prefer destination unless no choice.

Remember it was Commoli who actually took him to Spurs, and he could be instrumental again in convincing him that we can make him a real global star. He has a chance to play regularly if spearing could play this much with only Gerrard out injured. We need quality players to mount a reasonable push for Europe not players like Spearing! Workrate and determination are not enough to make a great player! Talent is impoertant.
