The good news for Liverpool seems to be continually rolling in. Although nothing official has come out yet, it is understood that Liverpool will be signing a new kit deal with American firm Warrior Sports when their current supplier’s contract with Adidas expires in 2012/13. The result of this new deal with Warrior Sports means that Liverpool will receive a massive £25m a year which is £2m more than the deal Manchester United have with Nike.

An extra £25m a year into our kitty is not bad at all considering we already have a great financially viable deal with Standard Chartered. From a business persepective, the future is looking great for Liverpool with all this money. Now we just hope it is managed well and it is plowed back into the team and will not be used to line the pockets of the owners.

As fans now we know that there is in excess of £20m available a year from this deal with Warrand thus there is nothing stopping Liverpool from going out into the transfer market (if need be) and to buy a £20m player. Manchester United were successful with this strategy in the past as they were able to boss the transfer market and sign quality players.

One response to “A £25 million player signing for Liverpool every year?”

That is a great news and i hope most if not all can be used to bring high quality wingers. Ashley Young is one of those players I would love to see at anfield next season.
