Normally the person who scores the goal gets the plaudits but this time it is different! Was Dirk Kuyt’s first goal on Sunday against Manchester United already a contender for goal of the season even if it was just a tap in for the Dutchman? What made the goal spectacular was the trickery of Luis Suarez as he weaved past the Manchester United defence to setup the tap in for Kuyt.

It has been a long time coming for us Liverpool fans to see a goal like this. We had missed seeing a player with such skill who is capable of beating so many players using pure skill, trickery and flair. Suarez made the Manchester United defence look like the barbies that they are.
