Chelsea were held to a very lucky 0-0 draw on Monday night at Fulham as Fulham missed a last minute penalty. It would have been a great result for Liverpool if Chelsea had lost that game as we would have closed the gap behind them to only 5 points. But alas they got the draw and we are still 6 points behind them which is not impossible to close down. Tottenham currently occupy the important 4th place as they are 8 points ahead of Liverpool, yet again, it is not out of our reach to catch up to them.

Looking back at the Chelsea game last night, I only watched the game to see how Torres was going to fair and in all honesty he had another shocker of a game for Chelsea. This time around, Chelsea opted to leave Drogba on the bench and start with Torres and Anelka. There is no way Chelsea are going to be able to play with all 3 of Torres, Drogba and Anelka from the start. Torres was subbed off 70th minute for Drogba after his dull game.

Now all of this is reminding me of a certain Michael Owen who left Liverpool to go to Real Madrid as he said he was seeking to win the Champions League. He left for Madrid and missed out on our success in Istanbul in 2005. I hope the same thing happens to Torres, he left Liverpool seeking to play in the Champions League with Chelsea and I would just love it (Said in the Kevin Keegan accent) if either Liverpool of Tottenham pip Chelsea for 4th place and they miss out on the Champions League and Torres is forced to play in the Europa League next season!
