The speculation around Daniel Agger’s future at Liverpool continues. Hodgson came out a few weeks ago and said that he would not be looking to sell Agger. When I heard that I was happy as I believe Daniel Agger is the kind of player we need at Liverpool for now and the future. He is one of the most talented young center backs in the game today and selling him would be a step backwards for Liverpool as we seek to build a winning team.
Agger has had problems with injuries and those have resulted in him not getting a regular run in the team. When he recovers from injury, he tends to find himself lower down in the pecking order behind Carragher, Skrtel and Soto. But now Agger is fit again and had a very good game against Bolton the other day. Agger has to continue playing in the team now.
But reports today are suggesting that Agger may be ready to quit Liverpool. According to the Daily Mail, they believe that Agger may be a target for Juventus this January as the player is getting frustrated with not being a regular starter.
‘If I’m not playing in the Liverpool team on a regular basis, then I am ready to move on,’ Agger said. ‘I have only just returned from three months out injured, so I am in no position, at the moment, to say I must be in the side for every game.
‘But once I have made a few appearances and regained full fitness, I would expect to be starting games. If I’m not playing, I can’t see a reason for staying.’
So I say that give Agger the game time he needs and deserves as I rate him as our best center back. We would be very silly to let him go.
excuse me, it’s daily mail, 90% of their stuff are rubbish or plain rumours, those kind of articles that will attract readers. tribal dailymail they are tthe same.
too bad that Roy’s always good at doing silly things.
AGGER best position is left back (a flat back -four).we need an owner who can invest on ready made players.we need per metasacker (defender)-12 million , young (winger)-18 million, suarez (striker)-18 million.LFC is be back again.btw, bring back RAFA.
Start with 4-5-1 (plan A).Plan B:4-4-2.
The whole lfc fans will agree with me.That team is as strong or even better that we had in 2008 where lfc ends 2nd.
