Christian Poulsen is now telling us that we have not seen the best of him yet. Obviously we haven not as what we have seen of him so far at his time at Liverpool has been a total shambles. The Danish midfielder insists that he has settled down now and is ready to deliver.

“I don’t think the Liverpool fans have seen the true me yet. We have a new coach, new backroom staff, new players and now new owners. It has taken time for us to find ourselves as a team. I hope we can move further up in the table. I really want to play a big part in it.” Those were his words.

Well I am sure Poulsen will get his chance, starting this weekend against West Ham. With Gerrard having picked up an injury playing for England and Lucas suspended for the game following his red card against Stoke, we have very few options in midfield and Poulsen may just have to start. If Poulsen does not give us a decent performance on Saturday then I give up! He will be playing at home and against a team that is not playing too well, what more of a game would you want or need Poulsen? Show us your best!

One response to “Poulsen will get his chance. He better take it.”

  1. Jay Wright says:

The injuries could actually be a positive if they force Hodgson to actually play players in positions to which they are suited (i.e. no more central midfielders out wide) and players are encouraged to step up and play their natural game instead of standing back and waiting for Gerrard to rescue them.

It definitely becomes a negative if we return to seeing Poulsen partnering Lucas through the middle and a midfield that drops onto our defensive line again though…
