According to a report Guus Hiddink was offered the Liverpool job in the summer when we were busy searching for someone to replace Rafa Benitez. Hiddink turned down the job because he felt he was too old for the day to day life of running a club and would much rather be managing a country where he does not have to be waking up every morning to go to the training ground and be scheming and planning for matches week in and week out.

Now with the ups and downs we are going through at Liverpool now, one can only imagine what life would have been like if Guus had decided to take over at Liverpool as I know many fans wanted him to do so. Would we be in a better situation than we are now or would we be far worse?
