I think we have all had enough time to mourn our loss on Sunday.

I still think that we have a realistic chance of coming fourth, it was never going to be easy playing City, ManUre and Gunners in 3 of the opening 5 games; and an away trip to Birmingham is not a stroll in the park either.

Positives from Sunday: We came back from two goals down at OT.We matched ManUre in that second half and we looked a decent side. The passing was quite good. Raul looks like a good player and Poulsen seems to be slowly adjusting to the Prem. Gerrard played very well, maybe his best game in a Liver shirt in quite a while.

On a negative note, Carragher is just not up to scratch for me and I’d much rather have Agger and Skrtl in the middle.

Jah ne! it is still depressing isn’t it? If you take into account that we conceded goals that could’ve been prevented with some better marking. Jamie Carragher has played his testemonial, it’s time to give him his rightful place on the bench. No need to be shy any longer. That was puwa/ poor marking (which ever way you want to put it, it was terrible) from him on sunday. It’s time guys, it’s time.

Jah ne…spoken like a real capetonian…hehehe….

Alround I thought we played an okay game…we didn’t lay down to get chucked…we tried to make a fight of it…Berba was in a class of his own on the weekend…brilliant play, good game for him…

I must admit I would have preferred to play Lucas ahead of Poulsen for this game…he has prem experience and has played in the “big” games. Poulsen still too slow for me, he needs to play a lot more one touch passes…in fact the whole team should play more first time balls…we play too slow, simple… and because of this, it gives the opposition enough time to regroup and reorganize…we used to have that injection of pace in our game with players like Alonso, Garcia, Pennant…we need to play at a similar pace….

Also, I think I would have gone with Stevie or even Cole in the whole as opposed to Raul…don’t think it was fair of RH to expect the guy to do a job for him there in his first full debut…and not against ManUtd…maybe against the likes of Fulham or Blackburn…

Was also disappointed with Carra’s marking on Berba for the second goal…very disappointing….BUT Carra un/fortunately still has the brains at the back and he is hard as nails… Skrtel on the other hand is the brawn at the back, doesn’t think too much and does whatever Carra tells him to….Agger might be able to read the game, but he is not strong in the challenge, although I must admit that he is probably the best with the ball at his feet…it’s a difficult toss up, but I think here it’s a matter of who the opposition is here….all the other teams have the same combo…man utd Vidic (brawn) Rio (brain)…chelski Terry (brawn) Cavalho (brain)…Gooners Konch (brawn) Vermaleun (brain)

My concern however this season thus far has been our inability to create clear cut chances…Torres, apart from being out of form, is still not getting enough quality ball….and played to him quicker…our mid seems content to just pass it sideways and among themselves…play the strikers or alternatively, let’s play the wings? I mean all our wing players start from standing positions and then try to take the man on….give the ball earlier so that he actually has the option to take on the player and go wide…

As for that criminal…Johnson, boy are we missing Arbeloa…Real must be so chuffed they picked him up on the cheap…

Well at least we got out of these hectic fixtures without too much damage…we could have lost against Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City and Birmingham…we got some games coming up now that we should win….lets hope we get max points over the next 3 weeks and hopefully our confidence will also be lifted….

But okes, seriously…riddle me this…. Why does it seem like Nani has JUST hatched from an egg minutes before kickoff?
…that wet look aint cutting balie…someone needs to rap to him…he has serious issues…
