I actually don’t think he’d be any good on the wing. His only move on defenders is to get a run on them. He needs to be going at pace before he comes across an defender. As a wing you often are standing when u have to make a move. Look at Adam Johnson on Man City. He actually stops the ball first then he starts his move. Wing play is a dead art. There are very few left in the world.

The problem with Glen Johnson isn’t that he’s out of position…It’s that he doesn’t think (like many English Players). He doesn’t seem to realise the importance of his position. He is too relaxed on the field. It’s like he doesn’t even realise that if he doesn’t stop the cross the ball could get headed in. He’d do the same in attack. Not tracking back, not releasing the ball just coz he doesn’t know what football is about.

He’s going to be a weak link no matter where we play him. Soon the players are going to turn on him. Remember when Carrager almost killed Arbeloa for slack play. Now he’s actually going to kill someone on the field. The only thing saving him now is that he is English and the English are more xenophobic than peeps in the townships.

Its so late for that ouen!

I’d still like to see Johnso slam on the wing because he at least gives us sum width down the flanks, and as that article pointed out, he would then have less defensive duties as well. I think he has enuff skill to beat his man even if it’s from a dead start.

It’s become my anthem…Lucas must flash!

I agree 100% with MoKo. It is very unfortunate that every season the team seems to be carrying someone…for far too long this player has been Lucas and now it seems to be Johnson…we cant win anything if everyone is not pulling their weight….I don’t think Johnson or Lucas are Liverpool material because they offer so little to the team…You know a player is bad when you look at their performances as a fan and reckon that you could do a better job given the opportunity…Johnson, Lucas and the Neville brothers should form their own league and slam there….

“……Johnson, Lucas and the Neville brothers should form their own league and slam there….” This is classic Gelo! to be Glen Johnson is bad enough, but to be compared with the pathetic Neville brothers! LOL! Still wonder how they managed to con SAF.

I think RH should give young Martin Kelly a run at RB. I’m tired of saying anything about Lucas, every village has its idiot, maybe he is ours.

I don’t think GJ is completely void of talent. Look at his performances for England. But he would more effective for us when he isn’t required to track back in RB. As for his current form, like Torres, he just needs a CLAP on the back of his head and told to get his thumb out of his arse!!
