Rafa and Co set off to London and Fulham in the search of at least one point that will knock ManU off the top of the table for 22 hours at least as ManU will have to wait until Sunday and their home game with Villa. Liverpool however really need to pick up three points tomorrow to really put the pressure on. A draw will be two points thrown away rather then a point won. It is probably not a bad time for Liverpool to play Fulham. The Liverpool players know that they found it tough to score against them at Anfield and they now also know that they are dangerous at home following their win against ManU.

It will all depend in my opinion how all the Liverpool react from their midweek excursions with their national sides and how fresh they are. It is getting near the end of the season and for a few players legs a lot of miles have been covered to date. By right there should be no need to have to pick the players up as they should be buzzing regarding the position they have managed to get themselves back into and with UTD not playing very well and missing several players through suspension, tomorrow could be tricky for the current EPL Champs if Villa turn up with their A-Game.

We are chasing four wins in a row which we have not managed to do since October. Fulham as we know are looking for back-to-back wins against ‘big-four’ clubs and also three wins on the spin which they have not managed to do since their amazing relegation saving run last season. Roy Hodgson has done a great job since taking over the reigns at Craven Cottage and he will have his team fired up and they will be full of confidence after the win over ManU so expect a tough match. I think Liverpool may have to win ugly tomorrow but I hope they prove me wrong.

We on the other hand have scored 11 goals in our last three EPL fixtures. Boast the best attack in the league. Failed to score in only one of the last nine EPL games. We currently have our highest total in the EPL at this time ever. We have Lost just one of 15 league games in which they’ve opening the scoring; away to Spurs. We are the only club not to have lost a Premier League game in which they were drawing at half-time; won nine and drawn nine of 18. We are boasting the best record against clubs currently in the top-half; won eight and drawn seven, picking up 31 points out of 45, only Chelsea eclipse that with 32. No club have netted more than our 27 goals on the road. There you have it – according to that Fulham should just ring the FA and tell them to give us the three points now – if only it was so easy but I still think Liverpool will win by a 1 goal margin. 0-1 or 1-2. I like to see Fulham doing well as my Uncle Jack played between the sticks for them after he left The Gunners but please not tomorrow.

Looking at the potential squads tomorrow shows that for Fulham Mark Schwarzer is the only remaining player to have been on the field for every minute of every one of their Premier League matches this season and Simon Davies, my national captain Aaron Hughes and ex-Red Danny Murphy (249 apps with 44 goals 97-04) have also all started every one of Fulham’s Premier League matches this term. Ex-Toffee Andy Johnston is their top scorer with 7 goals.

For Liverpool Reina matches Schwarzer’s record for Liverpool and Jamie Carragher has still started every game this season in the EPL. The mighty Stevie-G is our clubs top scorer with an ‘un-lucky for some’ 13 goals. Lets hope it’s unlucky for Fulham when he moves onto maybe 14 & 15 tomorrow.

Now waking up on April Fools day we were met with the headlines that Alan Shearer was taking over at Newcastle. Mike Ashley obviously feels that his extensive managerial experience in saving teams from relegation will stand them in good stead for missing the drop this season. I don’t know who is the bigger fool but I suppose time will tell.  So this weeks quote of the week is reserved for the new man in the hot seat of the biggest-small club in the EPL.

“One accusation you can’t throw at me is that I’ve always done my best”

Thanks Mr Shearer, the new Messiah, (how many is it now??) Don’t be so hard on yourself. If you don’t think you’ve done your best before it better change quick in order to save that crock of crap from the Championship.
