I still can not get Staurdays drubbing of Manchester United off my mind. Whenever I close my eyes I just have to relive the moments. All four goals scored on Saturday were special. Torres’ first was brilliant, the way he took the ball of Vidic and then had the composure to accurately slot it past Van der Sar. Gerrard penalty was well taken. The pressure was on and we know that Van der Sar is a great penalty stopper but Captain Fantastic beat him. The third, my personal favourite, Aurelio’s free kick. I think was makes it even more special for me was seeing Van der Sar rooted to the spot as he watch the ball sail into the net and there was nothing he could do about it.

Then the fourth by Dossena was just sheer class. Being lobbed by a defender is also entertaining to watch. It reminds me of when United were hit for five by Newcastle bast in 96/97 and Newcastle’s defender, Philip Albert chipped Schmeichel.

I thought the assist on the Dossena goal was all the way from from Reina – not a defender.

You are correct Jason, it was straight from Reina. What a great finish though by Dossena.

Yes I could watch Dossena’s lob all day also.

But then all goals scored at the Theatre of Illusions are sweet.
