And there went our hopes of winning the Premiership! I am sooo disappointed with the way we played on Saturday. The lads just did not seem to want to play and that is was shocked me the most. Having beaten Real Madrid in mid-week, we go on and put in that kind of a display. Granted we were missing Torres and Arbeloa due to injury but surely a team of Liverpool’s status should be able to get passed Middlesbrough if we are serious title contenders. With that said, I think the Champions League now remains our best chance of getting any silverware this season. I can not see Man United dropping a lot of points now. As Rafa has now said, the title is United’s to loose.

MIDDLESBROUGH V LIVERPOOL

I just wonder how different things could have been if we did not pick up all those home draws earlier in the season. This was our season to win but we have thrown it away and the loss to Middlesbrough virtually sealed it that we will not be Champions. We must also not forget that we must finish in the top four. I just hope we do not start to fall further down the table. The lads should keep fighting on.

I am finding it very hard to write this post as I am largely disappointed. Hopefully we can put fight past Sunderland on Tuesday and bring a smile back to my face!

I couldnt believe what I saw right from kick-off. I could tell from the first ten minutes that they did not want to play footblall and that the result wasnt gonna be good. I’m tired of the negativity LFC plays its football with.

I think we had already given up after the draw with Man city , too much talk of that game having ended our title hopes has etched its way into the mentality of the players and probably Rafa too .Skertl at right back ? what was that about . Id rather have seen Carra there,he has experience in that position even if its not his favourite and would have been more of a match for the pace of Downing which Rafa should have been aware of ! Downing ran rings round Skrtl and we just looked sub standard again .How is it possible to beat one of the world greatest sides on their home soil (Real madrid ) and yet struggle at home against the likes of Fulham , Stoke , West Ham and Boro to name a few ?? Are we only passionate about European silverware ??Felt gutted on Saturday and only hope tonight we can destroy Sunderland and show Man utd that one day we may be a threat !
