Tonight we HAVE to win. There are no negotiations about that. We somehow need to get three points and I do not care if it is a scrappy 1-0 win. We are now getting to the stage where results mean more than performances. I was hurt over the weekend when both Man Utd and Chelsea got last minute wins. Draws for both teams would have been excellent for us. But that is how football goes, they won so we HAVE to win. A draw or a loss tonight is unthinkable.

A lot has been happening behind the scenes at Liverpool right now and I am worried that it is going to affect our race to the title. We have the whole Stevie G charges coming up and then Rafa has not been himself since his kidney stone operation. The gafa has had a dig at Sir Alex and now he has refused to sign a new contract. We also have the possibility of Agger leaving to AC Milan all because the owners don’t want to offer him a new contract. I just hope we are not the ones to blame ourselves come the end of the season.

Looking ahead to tonight, it is great news to hear that Arbeloa and Alonso are back. We needed both players more so Arbeloa as Carragher has just not looked at home playing at right back. We will have a bit more structure with Arbeloa back at right back. I see Alonso coming straight back into the team. Rafa needs the guys to attack tonight and that means he has to start with Torres upfront and maybe even Keane too. I would like to see the following lineup tonight to start the game: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Aurelio, Riera, Gerrard, Alonso, Kuyt, Keane and Torres.

As they say, the form book goes of the window when it comes to derby day and tonight is no exception. I am 100% sure that there will be a red card or two in tonight game, it always tends to happen.

Come on you Reds!! Let’s get the three point tonight and silence the Man U fans!
