Apparently Espanyol has already reported on their website that he is in Liverpool for a medical, so he could be in the door at any moment.
Rafa basically said that until it’s finalized he will speak of him only as an option, but this seems to be all but finished up. Whether he performs or not, I think it’s brilliant that we’re signing him for less than our little neighbors offered.
I’m calling for him to do a double over them at Goodison, just for proper measure.

We should have gone in for Bentley or Downing but I guess Riera is e decent second choice.
I wouldn’t say so as I don’t think he’s rated that highly, at least not by me.
Yeah, He’ll have to prove us wrong because i think for a price tag like that we could have had a better player!! But at least we didn’t offer as much as Everton 🙂
I got a gut feeling that Riera may just do well for us. He is coming in with not too many people expecting a lot from him so there is not a lot of weight on his shoulders. Just let him play and let us see what he can do. Who knows, he may just ‘turn it on’ and set the Premiership alight and maybe The Kop will even come up with a chant for him which will ring around Anfield all season.
