Old King Kev has been pushing for Rafa to allow Emiliano to go out on loan to them for the season, but apparently to this point has been refused.

Now I know what kind of stink has been floating around the Toon Army the past few seasons, but I don’t think anything but good could come from him going out to Newcastle if he was assured of first team football. I’m sure he’ll see his fair share with us as well, but by no means will he be a certainty on the team sheet, or at least I would think not. Now if Rafa intends to play the youngster enough, then by all means hang onto him. If not though I don’t think you could ask for much more than a largely supported club, with a terrific atmosphere for him to grow up and mature in front of.

Either way I think he has good potential to be with us for some time, so we’ll just have to see what Rafa cooks up for him.

He could be getting couple of games under his belt this season. We currently have Dossena and Arbeloa who could play on both sides.

I don’t mind him going on loan either. Newcastle need him more than we do and he could be featuring in more games.

    P.S – Nice blog mate.

I agree, it would be great if he goes out and gets some experience. I was really impressed when he played the games at the end of last season. He looks like he will be awesome in two or three years time. If he can get regular games at Newcastle then that will be great for us.
