Liverpool have completed the signing if Emmanuel Mendy on a three year deal from Murcia Deportivo. Mendy is an 18 year old Spaniard who plays at right back but can also slot in at left back. Mendy will not go straight into the first team and will spend some time in the reserves. The signing of Mendy goes to show what Rafa has in mind by investing a lot in youthful players for the future of the team. I have not heard of Mendy before so can not say much about him but I believe in Rafa and if Rafa has signed him, I believe he will turn out to be a good player.

I hear the kid is going to be something great. Good signing Rafa. Now go get Keane and Barry!

Does Rafa want to build a Spanish national team at Liverpool? Maybe, he may not get the chance to coach the national team so why not build his own national team.

Stop buying these kids and go get some real men like Villa and Silva!!!

With the way things are going, we are going to have another great reserve team this season and should win the reserve league again. And I see the likes of Plessis, Pacheco and Nemeth breaking into the first team. We are going to have one heck of a team in two years time and we will not even need to splach out millions in the summer. This should hopefully be the last summer we spend millions.

I imagine we’ll move more into the realm of what Manure and Chelski do. We’ll drop 20-25 million where we need it each summer and simply keep all our positions stocked. That is what it is going to take to establish a dominant side, and I think that is what Rafa is after. I have a feeling that in 15 years we’ll hopefully be talking about how foolish people were for doubting what was to come.
