Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for Norwich left back Jamal Lewis but it has been reported that the Reds £10m offer has been rejected.

It is likely that Liverpool will go back in with another offer as Norwich value their player in the £20m region.

But if the Lewis deal does not happen then according to reports from Sports Time, Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Olympiacos’ Kostas Tsimikas as a potential Plan B.

The 24-year-old Greek left back featured on Thursday for Olympiacos against Wolves in the Europa League and did a decent job up against the likes of Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez.

Tsimikas may be a cheaper option compared to Lewis and he will come in with some Champions League experience which will be beneficial. It remains to be seen though what Liverpool decide on. One thing we know is that Jurgen Klopp will do all he can to get the player he wants and at this point it seems like Jamal Lewis is that player. Hopefully Plan B will not have to be executed.
